Made to be used in the middle of an attack

Here is what works in Relief today, and where it still falls short.

VoiceOver reads “Migraine risk 22, low”

The iPhone app

  • VoiceOver reads the dial and sums up every chart in a sentence
  • Larger Text: text grows with the size you set on your iPhone
  • Nothing relies on color alone: bands are written, pain has dots and stages are named
  • Everything you tap is at least 44 points
  • Nothing moves under Reduce Motion, and aura and headache screens stay dark and still
  • Main text passes 4.5:1The smallest labels sit at 4.3:1, just under it

Relief for Apple Watch

  • VoiceOver on every control
  • Text up to 140%
  • Increase Contrast and Reduce Motion
  • An Always On setting that hides your stage and score

This site

  • Built to WCAG 2.2 AA
  • Reading text starts at 18 px, and every size follows your browser’s text setting
  • On a phone, nothing hides off the side of the screen
  • Every page works with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus ring
  • Nothing moves when you ask your device to reduce motion
  • Nothing flashes, loops or plays on its own
